Vancouver B.C. Foodie Guide

Foodies rejoice!! We recently went to Vancouver B.C. and had our very own foodie tour. We visited all of the Instagram and TikTok famous restaurants and although some hit the spot, some not so much! Keep in mind these are all our opinion and they are based in food, atmosphere, services, and overall experience. Here are all the places we went to and whether or not they are worth it.

#1 Nightingale ★★★★☆

Starting off strong, Nightingale is the restaurant that was the most hyped and recommend on the socials! The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and perfect for a date night. The food is family style meaning you order about 3 or 4 dishes as a couple and share those dishes. The more people in your party the more dishes you get to share. The service was fantastic and the food was exquisite! We had the pizza with chorizo, pepperoncini, honey, mozzarella, and the spaghetti with manila clam, jalapeno, scallion, white wine. However, it was a bit expensive considering how small the portions were (even though they were family style. Reservations are must since they do fill up rather quickly. Other than that, I would say give it a try but I wouldn’t go back for seconds!

#2 Social ★★☆☆☆

I was SO excited for this spot but it really just missed the mark! The menu was so tiny, the atmosphere was off, the food was subpar (we had the bao buns), and just disappointing. The reason why this gets 2 stars is because the margaritas were amazing, but because I have a particular margarita order. (lime juice, agave nectar, and some good tequila that’s all) After leaving, all we wanted was some McDonald’s.

#3 Browns Socialhouse ★★★★☆

Located right next to the Queen Elizabeth Theater, this place is a fun laidback restaurant with some good food and drinks. It’s a type of restaurant you really can’t go wrong with because of its variety. We had the Watermelon Social Soda cocktail, parmesan garlic fries, Traditional Pub Burger, and the Blackened Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. Service was great and so was the food! We will totally be coming back when we want something easy and without hassle.

#4 Brewhall ★★★★★

Give me a sec while I drool thinking about this spot! I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Brewhall is a laidback brewery with arcade games and a bunch of TVs to catch whatever game is on. The food was to die for and so were their beers! We had the Buffalo Fried Chicken Mac and Cheese, the Chicken Strips with loaded curly fries, and their Azedo Tropical Fruit Sour beer. I want this beer shipped and stocked in my pantry at all times. It was the best beer I have ever had. I also tried one of their flights in which I realized that all of their beers might just be amazing! Highly, highly recommend!

#5 Dockside ★☆☆☆☆

I am going to keep this one so short and simple. Overpriced for the most simple breakfast you can have. I was mad eating my food knowing I could be spending this money (or a fraction of it) at a restaurant that would give me an experience and good food. Don’t waste your time and money.

#6 Cactus Club Cafe ★★★★★

Again, such an easy restaurant to like because of its variety! Also, the service and food was impeccable. Their Zen Roll is 1000% worth the hype!!! We also had their Sangria, Rigatoni Bolognese, Cheddar Bacon Burger, and truffle fries. The atmosphere is great for a date night or a simple night out in the town. Cactus Club better get ready because we are most certainly coming back!
