Top 3 Destination Souvenirs.

One of my favorite things to do when traveling is picking out the perfect souvenir. After years of trial and error finding the perfect thing to grab for myself or for someone special in my life, I have figured out the 3 things I will always gravitate towards. There are a couple of things I took into consideration when it came to finding the perfect souvenirs. First, how easy will it be to find in each destination (the availability of it), second, cost (I’ve spent enough during the trip, not trying to spend an arm and a leg), third, how easy will it be to travel with (I’m not paying for an extra bag), and finally, will it be used or tossed (something I know me or the special someone will use or not take up much space.) So here are my top 3 destination souvenirs.

#1 Magnets

Shoutout to one of my besties, Jordan, who is an avid traveler like me and hooked me on this genius way of collecting memories from where you travel. They take up ZERO space in your luggage, they aren’t fragile (most of them), and you can collect a ton of them. They are fairly inexpensive and every destination has magnets! Simple, but seeing them all lined up on your fridge is so satisfying and motivates you to expand your collection by traveling more. For sure my number one souvenir thus far! Thanks Jordan!!!

#2 Coffee Mugs

Now not only am I biased because I am coffee’s biggest fan, but it’s also, TECHNICALLY, not the easiest to travel with since most are fragile. BUT HEAR ME OUT! If Starbucks has a destination collection for you to collect, why not purchase unique mugs from every destination you go to? Especially destinations that are known for their coffee like Colombia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Seattle, etc. It is also a gift that will be used and not tossed (at least I hope not.)

#3 Snacks

I LOVVVVEE trying new food from the places I travel to. Snacks are such an underrated souvenir that many people forget about. Not only is it fun but it really shows a different aspect of culture that you can then take home and share with your friends and family. However, if traveling internationally, make sure you are aware of your country’s custom regulations when it comes to importing food and drinks as well as the country you are departing from. My recommendation is to wait until you get to the airport when returning back home to purchase your snacks!
